Welcome, and thanks for visiting this website. My name is Bill and I am Long Island Adventures. I am responsible for everything here, from devising and implementing the programs to creating and maintaining the websites.
As a private contractor I have worked with local municipalities, the Cooperative extension, B.O.C.E.S., Libraries, Public and Parochial Schools, and other organizations providing a variety of programs, all with nature as the theme.
The summer of 2009 saw the last of my Kayak Explorers camps but also the beginning of a passion for digital photography. For the record, I am a licensed N.Y.S. Guide, past N.W.T. and past licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, a Certified Kayak Instructor, Beekeeper, Sugarer, Master Gardener, professional landscape photographer and all around nature enthusiast. I've been acquainting the public with the natural world, for many years, from Upstate to Manhattan and east to South Hampton on the Island. I've provided science and nature programs to summer camps and schools across Long Island and operated successful school recess programs.
Through L.I. Adventures I offer a variety of program topics for adults and children, from Bees and Wasps (with live bees in an observation hive); Budding and Grafting (hands on); Plant Propagation, all About Seeds and Seed Saving; Pond/River Studies and Carnivorous plants to Kites for Kids and other programs too.
Resume´ upon request.
